...Metallic Marker Fun!!

I've seen heaps of Sharpie projects on Pinterest of late and have always wanted to give them a go.
They are so quick and easy, and if you happen to have the right markers lying around, plus a few old mugs and bowls, why not have a go at jazzing up some old and unloved pieces!

An oil based metallic marker (or a few different colours!)
a mug or bowl
Electrical tape
hole punch
Oven

Then, make sure that you bake your projects in a 180c oven for half an hour

Here's a few of the pieces I ended up with!

Add your own quotes and phrases to your mugs! There are HEAPS of ideas on Pinterest.

The main idea is just have some fun and be creative! Do what you like, have a play, and if your markers are anything like mine, you can actually scratch the pattern off and redo it if you make any mistakes!

What a fun idea! I love the tape method; I've seen this done before freehand and it's intimidating (to me)! LOL!
I found you today from Sugar Bee's Linky. I hope you can stop by my blog and leave a comment, too!

  4. I tried this with sharpies and even after baking the stuff was coming off, especially when I put them in the washer machine. Have you had any problems with the metallic markers?
