Petal Onesie Tutorial

I've been away at a wedding all weekend so haven't managed to keep up my challenge to the full extent I would have liked! Bummer!! Oh well, I've still been creative thorough it all, thank goodness, I've just been without my craft supplies and sewing machine!
Seeing as I was having withdrawals, as soon as I got home I got straight into this gorgeous little project!

...Baby Shower Gift Set

My Cousin-in-law Michelle is having a bubby in May and she had her baby shower today!
Michelle and Juan have decided not to find out what they are having, which if great, but  never know what to buy for a neutral baby shower!

...Thrift Shop Purse Revamp

I was out and about opp shopping recently and came across this purse for $1. Pretty cool. It's an old Sportsgirl clutch and it's in my favorite colour! Score!

...Owl Cushion Toy!

It's my niece Stephanie's birthday tomorrow and we had a birthday dinner for her tonight. So cute-a pink party!

Pink hats, pink drink, pink food, pink cake...fun!!!

Baby Scalloped Collar Dress

Aaaaaw.....how sweet!

I found this adorable little heirloom dress pattern over at Craftiness is Not Optional and fell in LOVE with it immediately! The rest of the website is to die for and I think I may just be making dresses for awhile as I am obsessed with so many of these adorable patterns.

Ok, Gushing over!

...iPhone Pouch!

So, I have SO many material scraps lying around the place, and I just can't bear to get rid of such beautiful pieces! So when I came across this page on 'Scrap Busters' for your left over material scraps, I was stoked!

...Taggie Birdie

After making my taggie owls and taggie blankets, a Mummy friend of mine requested that I made a taggie bird! How fun!

My daughter Ava absolutely loves Taggie toys, as soon as she gets a hold of one, the tags will be in her mouth! She also love to rub the satiny fabric on her cheek. Adorable.
Here it is-really easy to make and can be whipped up in an evening, too!

..Spring Leafy Tree Cushion Tutorial!

I found this gorgeous tutorial on Pinterest and absolutely fell in love. I've been desperate to make it for awhile now and last night just happened to be the right time!

It's a pretty easy little pattern, I'll show you what to do!

...Pretty Pink Teether Bracelet

Here is a spin on the teething necklace I made here!

Same tutorial, only smaller beads and smaller sleeve (about 6cm)

Check out my Beaded Teething Necklace Tutorial for the How-To!

...Boys Cot/Pram/Car Quilt with 'Cars' Theme

Hooray!! My Cars quilt is finished!!

Last Christmas I received a sewing machine from my Mum. At the time, I didn't really know how to sew. I'd done a bit at high school, and my aunty Mez and I used to do a lot of projects on the holidays, but I had little to no confidence in my sewing abilities. One of the first projects I did when I received my machine was....wait for it.... a quilt.

Yes, I am insane

...Spunky Vest and Bow Tie Boys T-Shirt

So, was it just in my circle of friends, or was last year 'Year of the Baby' for everyone?
Seriously! I could count about 20 people I knew last year having babies. Crazy!
So-year of the baby last year =Year of the One-Year-Olds this year, which means lots and lots of little prezzies for bubbas!

You may have noticed so far that I'm a bit of a girly girl (No, really?!) and having a little girl myself, it makes it very easy to get carried away with pretty colours and florals and the like continually-and I am aware of this!
So when a little boy's birthday pops up, I am suddenly quite lost! Does he like pastels? How about a lovely floral dress for the little man.
Nope
I need to man up and find something masculine.

Here's where Friday's task comes in.

...Pretty beaded teething necklaces

Here is one of the easiest pieces of jewellery you will ever make!
The convenient thing about this very pretty necklace that also doubles as a teething necklace for bubby. If you don't have a bub, though, it can be worn as a pretty accessory with any outfit,  and it won't be covered in saliva. A win for all!

...Taggie Owls

Last night I decided to make a few little Taggie Owls as Ava absolutely adores her taggie blanket that I made here and after seeing this tutorial on Bubbles and Bobbins I was very excited to make one for the Little Miss!

...Stripey Cushion

On Thusday night we went to Ikea and I got so excited seeing how much their fabric department is growing!! You get to cut your own fabric too!!! I felt like my dreams of becoming a Lincraft girl all came true!!

I absolutely fell in love with this stripey material. I think it's the colours, and also the thicker texture of the fabric that makes my mind go crazy with all of the projects I could complete!!

...Boys Cot/Pram/Car Quilt with Disney's Cars Theme

Alright, this project is going to take a smidge longer than a few hours so I'll be doing this post in stages!

When I was pregnant, we didn't find out if Ava was a boy or a girl, so I made so many different combinations of colours and styles-girly, gender neutral etc. I've also made a few as gifts for little bubbies that have come along the way.

...Teething Taggy Baby Blankey

A lovely Mummy in my Mums group and I were chatting last week about wanting to make taggie teething blankets for our daughters. After our conversation we were both inspired to go to Spotlight and Lincraft to stock up on pretty different textured fabrics to make our projects!

These blankeys can be a comforter, teether, play toy, they can be nice and snuggly like a blankey but also have stimulating additions to keep bubs entertained.

...Love Heart felt brooches

I've had lots of requests and suggestions recently about what my next project should be. Some seem to be a bit of a challenge (thanks Ange!), others really easy.

As I  had really busy day yesterday, plus it was a Sunday night, I decided I'd opt for an easy option!

...Gorgeous Baby Girls Summer Dress

Here is a gorgeous little dress that I made for Miss Ava.

The Pattern caters for 3 months, 6 months, all the way up to toddlers and 5 year olds.
I made the 6 month size as Ava is 5 1/2 months, and although she's little for her age, it will fit her for awhile, especially with the adjustable straps.

...Handmade Fabric Flower Brooches

Here is a quick, easy and effective little craft that takes a little bit of preparation, then no time at all to complete!

Whip up a whole bunch of these to mix and match with different outfits, or make as gifts for teachers, aunties or friends. They would even look gorgeous attached to a card. The options are endless!
